What card will $100.00 more get me that is "the right card"? I'm really interested in knowing. And I cannot believe anyone is advising me to buy anything from nVidia. Have you not seen review after review trashing everything they have released after the 4090? I have bought their GPU's for years, but everything they have released in the last eighteen months has been crap (again, other than the absurdly priced 4090). Here is yet another reason that,at present, nothing but AMD GPU's make sense:Good points.
I guess I still get a migraine about this entire conversation because a measly $100 will swing this dude to the right card versus all of this hand wrangling over buying last gen stuff.

Agreed, but nothing in the market has substantially changed since then. No new miracle value GPU products have appeared under $1k.Something to keep in mind about articles like that one is that often they're written several weeks before they get published. The author was probably alluding to the current generation of GPUs from AMD and Nvidia. Which was either under an extreme NDA or simply pure speculation when that piece was originally written.
