So I'm thinking of building a PC for the first time. I am going to be using it for gaming, streaming to Twitch, maybe some photoshop, listening to and/or making music, and hopefully some online college courses. This is what I have at the moment:

(used this site for the compatibility filter, recommended by a friend, so I'm sorry if it's not allowed).
I currently do not have ethernet, hence the wireless adapter, and I will be using a 32 inch TV as a monitor but plan on getting a real monitor(s) at a later time. If possible I'd like to keep it under $2500. My friend told me I should come here to ask for help so any and all suggestions are welcome but please be gentle, it's my first time.

Any chance you live near a Microcenter? Can get cpu\mb much cheaper there.

Ditch the wireless adapter and buy a better MB with built it.

The Strix you picked out is no longer carried, can get this one for $35 cheaper.

Would up your ram to this:

or

Would switch PSU to:

$70 after rebate

Would buy an OEM Win10 license from a back alley dealer for <$20.

I don't know of any microcenters near me. I found all of the parts I had in my my build, including the changes you suggested, on NewEgg and it came out to be $6 more. This included the thermal paste but not the OS. I'll try looking somewhere else to get it cheaper. Thanks for the help

Some of the use cases you outlined certainly would help with some more cores, especially streaming and video editing. Right now a Ryzen 1700 non-x is best bang/buck processor for these use cases, however with Coffee lake coming out , you may want to hold off. From rumors and some unofficial benchmarking etc, you'll get a decent performance boost over the 7700k, along with 2 additional cores, for a total of 6 cores/12 threads for the i7 part which will help with streaming, twitch, etc, and video editing.

If you can't hold out, then I would recommend the following build:

Well under your budget and now have some funds for a nice LCD. 8-cores probably get a decent overclock 3.9GHz, maybe 4. I would not be looking at any 4-core part today, unless it was just for gaming and/or my budget dictated that.

Also you may not wanna go with a 1080Ti as well, still overpriced and going to get pricier with the upcoming GDDR5 memory shortages.

Best bang for buck high end card right now is the GTX 1080. Heck, there was someone here on the FS forums that just sold one for $490...which is less than some folks are asking for their 1070, which is utterly rediculous. You'll still get decent 4k in most titles, some you may not get that sweet spot at 4k-60FPS, but great, nonetheless for video editing, gaming, etc.
