boot problem

I'm fixing my friends computer...the first motherboard had died...

so he came by today with the new motherboard. i install it and boot it...works beautifully...
i install a driver, shut the computer down...about 2 mins later try to turn it back on but nothing happens...

any one have any clue what is wrong?

need more info...
like what motherbaord died - using same memory/cpu/psu etc?
what type is the replacement motherboard ...
etc.

now things to do right now - check all cables and make sure none are loose (such as the main board connect to psu...) In some cases taking it totally apart & putting back to gether will fix the issue as loose connects/cabling is sometimes hard to find any otherway...
clear the boards bios settings via the cmos switch...
