Boot loader problem

I had WindowsXP installed on primary, linux redhat 9 on secondary... but I diddnt know that in GRUB the listing DOS = Windows so I was very confused.. I thought that I had to fix the Windows MBR and boot so I did. now the GRUB is gone and redhat9 and my other HDD is floating around somewhere in space. Is there any way I can get the loader back? or an alternate loader? Thanks. :)
 
Boot from a LiveCD(knoppix, gentoo, etc…), chroot to your linux install, and reinstall grub.

That should be enough to get you started.
