I just finished installing Linux on an old laptop at work (333MHz Celeron). Anyway the display screen is way too small. Linux isn't using the entire LCD, there is about a 1-inch all around black border. This border surrounds KDE and text mode (login). What do I edit to make Linux occupy the entire screen?

sounds like a framebuffer problem, try disabling it
see if there is a framebuffer driver loaded, do lsmod
if there is something like radeonfb or "something"fb, try removing it, rmmod "name of module"

Before my boss left for his vacation he came in and fixed it. I wasn't there when he fixed it so I don't know what he did. I guess I'll find out in two weeks. Thanks for all the help guys.
