BF2 problem please help

My main problem with BF2 is actually 2 things, first when loading into a server it takes forever to get in. It sits at verifying client data for a minimum of 4 mins. Second problem is when it finally lets me in, it stalls out for like 30 secs and I can move faster then like 2 fps. After that it’s fine and runs perfectly until the next time I have to load a new map then rinse repeat.

Could this be ram related or dual core related. Rig in sig.

All settings high - textures med- 4xAA

sounds like bf2, same problems with me on my old machine, actually i dont think its a problem

memory problem. add another 512meg or a gig.

Yep, rammage. But your verifying client data probably won't go any faster.
