Better processor for FFDshow Postprocessing?

I'm building a new HTPC, primarily for TV recording and DVD watching (with postprocessing of course). Currently, I've whittled down the choice of processors to a T7200 Intel Core2 Duo 2.0ghz dual core processor with 4mb shared cache and a 3.4gHz Prescott with 2MB cache. Considering I'm not entirely sure that FFdshow will take advantage of two cores, which would you guys think would be better? Remember, I have to get a mATX motherboard for this too, and I've yet to find one with socket 775 from a manufacturer I trust, although that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

From my experience searching through this forum and others on the topic of FFDShow I have seen some people report that it does in fact take advantage of multiple cores.

I can't find the link but I recall one user saying his settings were so extreme they used 150% cpu usage
Core 1 - 100%
Core 2 - 50%

Of course members like IDversusEGO, CrimandEvil, and UMDivx will have more solid info to go on.

Just tossing in the 'ol $.02
