Ok, I am trying to consolidate most of my media equipment and the one issue I am hitting right now is with my HTPC.

I want to have software that will play my blu-ray discs, as well as be able to stream my HD mkv files off my server/desktop. In the past I have just used XBMC to play the mkv's and my stand alone samsung player for the discs.

I know truemedia and power dvd have WMC integration but I haven't been able to find anything that will allow WMC to do MKV playback with hardware acceleration. I need the acceleration since I am using an atom/ion system

Has there been any development in the past 12-18 months so that I can have a nice and easy UI (that works with a remote), plays mkv over network, and local blu-ray discs all with solid hardware acceleration? Or am I just SOL and need to keep doing things they way I have.

Oh, I guess system specs would be handy
Acer Aspire Revo R1600
Atom 1.6ghz
3gb ram
nVidia ion graphics
160gb HDD
lite-on blu-ray drive over USB
win 7 ult.

The beta version of XBMC Eden will play blu-ray discs, but I don't know whether it has hardware acceleration.

For WMC, have you looked at this site. I've never attempted it though.
