My LG L227WTG (22" 1680x1050) died on me. I was happy with that monitor, the colors were good (to me), and there was no ghosting.
Now I'm trying to decide between a 24" (ish) or a 27" 1920X1080. First basic question is, does 1920x1080 on a 27" look too stretched in general, so it's not even worth considering? Main concern is ghosting/response time. I also like glossy, but apparently matte is generally more "color accurate"?
For 27", I was looking at these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116455
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236091
Or I can get a "better" 24"(ish) one. Was looking at:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236049
and monitors similar to that.
The monitor will be primarily for gaming (and browsing the internet). I'm not into Photoshop or anything like that, and I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference in "accurate color reproduction." I think there is a Dell IPS panel for around $300, but I read that it wasn't good for gaming because of the response time?
Thanks for any info, insight, or opinions.
EDIT: Also found a seemingly nice 120Hz http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236104 A bit more, but maybe worth it?
