Best Bluray drive for MakeMKV backups- need reliability

I've got an LG WH14NS40 currently, and lately Ive been getting a lot of failed reads, DVDs and Blurays.

On a couple of the errors, MakeMKV says usually is a failing drive.

Several of them the disc looks in really good condition.

Anyways, Im thinking about switching to another drive to see if I can increase my reliability.

Any recommendations?

Ive heard good things about Pioneer reliability.

Any other drives I should be considering?

When I have issues with MakeMKV its almost always because MakeMKV is out of date. I'm using some ancient Pioneer 6x BD drive.
