Hello guys, kinda new here and having problems using BBcode formatting when posting images

wanted to post image but resize them as described here but none of the formatting works for me here. Does this formatting require higher vbulletin version or a third party resizer on lower vbulletin version to be installed on the forums or is there some limitations to me being new?

tried some other syntax as well and didn't work as you can see
deer1.jpg
to scale both

[img=w,200]http://z3.ifrm.com/197/123/0/f617252/deer1.jpg[/img]
[img=50%]http://z3.ifrm.com/197/123/0/f617252/deer1.jpg[/img]
[RESIZE=50][im.g]http://z3.ifrm.com/197/123/0/f617252/deer1.jpg[/img][/RESIZE] -added the dot to im.g to show the syntax and not the image
[RESIZE=50]
deer1.jpg
[/RESIZE] - without the dot - picture not resized

wanted to make a long thread describing my attempt to install aftermarket cooler which didn't end up well and don't like posting unresized images, nor using simple url links nor having to resize the images themselves. Is there a way to do that? Maybe use html or php tags instead?

the footer on this page says

BB code is On
Smilies are On
code is On
HTML code is Off

so I guess html tags are not possible to use, bbcode doesn't work, so the only left is php code which has a button in the advanced post editor

I use Paint to resize and a third party host for images. It's a fast and easy solution, no coding needed.

Use host service for the pictures.

Once you upload the picture. They will have embedded code links on the same page. Pick the one that has thumbnail if it is a super large picture. That way it will show small and when they click on it then it will go to full size. If it is a good sized then just pick the direct link and post it in the thread. Some sites will resize them for you before you upload. It will give you a choice to keep it the same or resize.

Code:
[img] [/img] is all you need though in the url.

don't like posting unresized images, nor using simple url links nor having to resize the images themselves.

sure I know I can do that but as I said don't want to do that for like 20+ pics

if I wanted to do it that I would not ask here....next time pls read the post properly before reply

I have them on photobucket and don't see any other links than:

ahh..think I've found it....in the photobucket settings I had unchecked the thumbnail links....thx KILLER_K for the advice

Was fixing to tell you photobucket for some odd reason doesn't have thumbnail links on by default. But you found it before I could reply. You are most welcome.
