Battlefield 4: Official 17 Minutes of Gameplay

At least it looks like that horrible blue tint is gone from the UI and post process.

Thought it was interesting near the beginning when he was using both a scope and reserve iron sights.

Looks more like Medal of Honor... That game sucked, but the double sight feature is kinda cool.

they Polish this up and this will be a system killer with all the Particle effects ect.

Boring..I did not buy the last one..etc..etc

Hurry! Order now before we run out of Digital copies! Give us your money for nothing please!

I have owned BF3 since it came out.. I don't think I was able to make it past the second mission in the campaign.. Talk about AWFUL. This doesn't look any different.

Fix multiplayer ffs.. bring back VoIP, ACTUAL SQUAD gameplay instead of running and gunning CoD clone with bigger maps it has become.

[EA] But... that would take effort... and require thought... and we wouldn't make as much money when all those casual hard-asses switch to CoD

dont know why everyone has to be a tool and a hater.

Looks decent, new maps and altered guns and sights, my only real gripe about BF3 was it rewarded people with high ping times.

i like the single player aspect, that way when i get tired of getting 1 shot killed by a person 500 yards away across the map with a pistol i can just chill and enjoy the graphics and explore a little.

You know, I loved the idea of the Battlefield game series, but I've never really got into them. The game just never feels like it comes together to me.

"None of those, however, have claimed responsibility for a "new era of interactive entertainment." That would be Battlefield 4, according to EA Games Vice President Patrick Söderlund. "Revealing the game to you all today is a big deal for us," he said in epilogue to the game's exquisitely rendered destruction. "It signals a new era of Battlefield and, frankly, a new era of interactive entertainment."

That's pretty much exactly what they said the last time..

While it is true that BF series has had awful single player campaigns... I really wish they would do more levels with the vehicles. Even if they sort of suck, at least you can practice a bit against AI to learn the vehicles. on-rail levels don't do it for me.

I also wish they keep the accurate weapons... It was a bit aggressive during beta, they smoothed it out... then they BF2ized the weapons shortly after so most were spray and pray at anything farther then 25 meters.

I realize "war" is often drab and lifeless, maybe they are trying to express a lifeless/hopeless situation with the lack of color... but for gods sake, turn up the fucking color intensity by maybe 15 or 20% please, i felt like I was watching a black and white movie. I thought it was sad/hilarious when the player would turn to scan the field or look around, taking 30 seconds (it seems) to turn 180 degrees.

Single player - i generally do not care at all about. Want to convince me to order?

Fix the god damn netcode
Add in squad based VOIP - for a game that's based on teamwork, it's fucking impossible to get any to actually work when you can't communicate.

I don't really see anything "new" about BF4 at all -- I think it's hilarious they have at the end "pre-order to get the expansion pack". after the SimCity debacle -- fuck you EA, I'm not pre-ordering shit, even if it came with my own sex slave, 40 acres, and a mule. The fact the game isn't even out for another 6 months and you are already whoring the DLC mean you have learned nothing from your previous mistakes.

Graphics are very nice. No doubt the best shown so far in a game, albeit unreleased.

Gameplay is your typical no skill type of bs that got started by Delta Force back in the days.

Ill pick it up when the premium deluxe edition to the MAXX is out for $20 or below.

Battlefield is now officially a COD clone. Yes BF3 was as well, but with BF4 following the EXACT same formula, the transformation is complete.

DICE needs to forget the single-player, and focus on the multi-player which is the series strength.

FPS games are all, for the most part, the same game. You run around shooting at things.

Is there one game ever... that pre-lease someone doesnt rip it? ever? maybe BioShock:infinite?

I wasn't ripping the game. Not one word in my post alluded to BF4 being a bad game, just a COD clone. If that means it's bad, then I guess it does.

I only wish DICE would return to it's roots with the BF series and focus on the multiplayer like BF1942, 2142, BF2...

I actually enjoyed the BF3 single player, and the co-op missions as well. It's a shame none of the DLC added more co-op.

I'm still waiting for them to make more games with these awesome Frostbite 2 graphics.

Well the new reincarnation of Command&Conquer is on FB2, but that game seems to be fraught with problems since they just keep delaying and delaying. And a F2P at that.

I wanna join in too ...ok here i go.... This game looks like crap.. its an expansion pack for BF3... this is worse than Aliens: Colonial Marines

From where I'm standing, it looks NOTHING like a new game.... Why BF4 moniker then? Same weapons, same vehicles (wtf are Russians doing flying Apache!?!?!? Don't they have their own attack helicopters?!?!? Hello DICE wake the fuck up!), same sounds... As of now, it looks nothing more than an expansion pack... Better not cost $60 at release...

I always play bf3 with friends and we have a vent server, it literally costs like 20 bux for a 10-15 man vent server for a year, and you can use it for all kinds of games.

I don't even expect games to come with a built in voice, guess i don't get that gripe.

I hate watching footage of console controllers being used. They rarely ever look around.

that's the whole point. looking through someone using a mouse feels less smooth and more jittery. During demos the game tests are told to not look left and right too much because of possible motion sickness to viewers. I mean it's true, I dont get dizzy play BF3 but when I look at my friends play for 5 minutes I feel like puking.

i got the same feelings when I first saw BF4. but you do just a little bit of research. I think you'd come back to this thread and delete your own post out of shame.

.

If they did that then they wouldn't be able to show off their flashy SP graphics which are nowhere to be found in MP. Playing BF3 SP and then multi it was like playing 2 different games as the multi almost looked cartoony in comparison to the SP.

Footage looks to be the same stagnant by the numbers SP yawnfest.

Yea people love to hate on stuff and won't waste a single opportunity to do so. Just check into any thread that even mentions the words, windows & 8.

I enjoyed the single player campaigns personally but I really wish they had an offline vehicle practice mode so I can not suck at airplanes and choppers and ruin someone else trying to win on a server so that I can practice.

Just remember when you take off those rose-colored goggles of yours and many others, BF was known for one thing really. It was fun as hell when it wasn't being a buggy piece of shit. BF2 had more than it's share of bugs and issues.

I actually enjoyed the BF3 single player, and the co-op missions as well. It's a shame none of the DLC added more co-op.

I as well. I hated that one coop mission where you started off having to escort a VIP. The part after that was just hell.
