I'm getting ready to do a complete rebuild of my rig, and wanted to see what other people's experience was with this.

I'm about to nuke and reinstall my OS. I want to know what, if anything, to back up from my current BF2 installation. Otherwise I'm guessing all I need is my account information and I'm good to go?

Just save the bf2 folder in your My Documents folder. It has your profile, video, sound and keyboard settings.

Thanks, that's what I thought, but I just wanted to be sure.

I prefer when game manufacturers make it blatantly obvious like that. I hate digging for my WC3 config files etc, etc...

There need to be a set of game config standards like that. I really hate having to do something totally different for each game.

most fps's share the same commands i.e. movement, firing primary/secondary, etc... but some games have special keys where using unified keyboard binds probably wouldnt make sense...
