Friend of mine is having problems with his sound setup on his computer. He's got the onboard NForce2, but nothing is coming out of the speakers. We tried hitting up WinUpdate, and then going to nvidia.com for the latest drivers, which hasn't worked.
We ran DXDiag, and we can hear all the sounds, but nothing through WMP, WinAmp or MusicMatch.
We tried disabling and then re-enabling it, as well as plugging in a sound card as solutions; those didn't work. So short of formatting to see if that fixes the problem (which I'm not a fan of...), anyone else have a suggestion?
