Hey all.
I purchased the PG279Q and noticed that all the whites on the panel looked very yellow. I tried multiple fixes that I found via a Google search to this known "issue" but none of them worked. I sent it back and instead purchased the PG279QR and while the yellow effect is a lot better then the IPS panel, it's still present. While I LOVE the gaming side of the monitor, I also use it a lot for the web and videos and the yellowing is annoying. I've read that it's either defective, a QC issue, or is fixable, except that the fixes I've tried haven't worked. I ran a color calibration via DisplayCAL and a Spyder3Express and it didn't change anything - in fact, it was pretty good out of the box according to the software.
I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they have a fix or work around for it? The picture I've attached shows the PG279QR on the right and an ASUS VN247H-P on the left.
Any thoughts/comments/suggestions would be appreciated!
