argh, why can't I connect this IDE cable?

I'm trying to connect the IDE cable that came with my K8N Neo2 to the IDE1 slot, and it simply will not go all the way in! It's facing the right way. Am I missing something here?

For some reason some IDE cables have "blocked out" holes, i dont know why, but check the pins on the mobo connector, and the holes on the ide cable, or try a different cable

Ok I got it, it just took a ridiculous amount of pressure :\

Nope, just wasn't pushing hard enough. Computer is up and running now, no problems so far *crosses fingers*

The problem is the pins are getting in the way. Get a good pair of needle-nose pliers and get all them suckers out! Then it will be easy to plug in that cable.
