Alright, after having two Via Aqua 1300's break on me, and my Hydor l30 tonight froze up and I was saved by my overheat protection, I'm going to be getting a good pump. No more of this little wussy pump crap. I want the flowrate and reliability. I know eheim has always been the old standby, but I've heard that Iwaki>all. Currently I run a non-res closed loop with a Maze3, a zchip block, and a Maze4-gpu block connected to about 4 feet of tubing (give or take a foot) and a chevette heatercore. I know Iwaki's come in both American and Japanese motors, and one is significantly better. Which is which and which is better? Are there other better pumps, and don't tell me a mag3 or 5 that I gotta seal against leaks. If I'm gonna shell out money for a pump, it damn well better work right the first time. I can spend up to $150, so let me know if there's anything better.
