Aquamark on 9700pro

Well,

Im dissapointed with my Aquamark score im getting with my 9700pro.

I used default test settings, AA, AF, Vsync off in drivers, and I got 20,000 points. This on a Athlon 2500+, 1gb ddr333 ram, msi nforce 2, winxp.

I posted cuz at tomshardware the 9700pro got 39,000 points, almost double my score :(
 
Aquamark is very cpu dependant. With the comp in my sig, I got about 34,000, but still your score seems a bit off.
 
Something is wayyy wrong with your setup. I have a similar setup and i get 37000 ...

With the barton 2500+ overclocked at 2500 Mhz ( 11x227 ) i get 39700.

Edit: By the way, that score was acheived with my 1600+ @ stock speeds.
 
Whats my memory bandwidth supposed to be, for two 512mb ddr333 chips in dual channel mode.

Benchmark gives them 2500mb/s
 
Installing nforce drivers solved my problems

I didnt actually think they did anything :p
 
Let's do some math: (166x2)*1,000,000*64/8 = 2,664,000,000 or about 2.6MB/s in single channel mode. 5.2MB/s in dual channel mode.

That's (CLOCK*DDR)*1Mhz*Bus Width/BitsInAByte

Megahertz, to my knowledge, means something along the lines of clock cycles per second.
 
well lets see. my aquamark score is 31461.....4491 for graphics and 5339 for the thorobred 2200 cpu running at 1950. aa was on 4x during the test. i couldn't get it to shut off. at least in aquamark. i'm running the ati drivers. stock speed.
 
Score of around 45k on my system (specs below).

The only thing I can think of is if AA / AF is set to on/high settings.

I've also noticed that I get a pretty big performance hit in my games and some benchies when running the 3.10 omegas.

I'm sticking with the stock ATI 3.10's and using Radeonator for my tweaking pleasure (Rage 3d tweak doesn't work under Win2k3 Server :( ).

Doesn't Omega claims his driver optimizations are aimed at everyday gaming?

Could this be at the expense of synth benchies?

Just a thought.

My AQ3 at default settings is around 34k.
