Just recently my aunt's 6 year old AMD Sempron 1.6ghz, 1GB DDR400, AsRock nforce board crapped out on her, the ethernet port got bummed out completely and the motherboard fail to past some stress test applications. Now she needs a new motherboard+cpu+ram combo for approx $150'ish max her budget, she only uses it for checking emails, internet browsing and listening to music and watching some movies online as well as regular news.

I don't know shit about AMD's as I specialise more of a Intel enthusiast, so far I've found a combo of the following:

Motherboard - $49
http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=N68-S

CPU - Option 1
$39
AM3 Sempron LE-140
CPU- Option 2
$71
AM3 Sempron x2 245
CPU - Option 3
$75
AM3 Sempron x2 250

RAM - $56
2G-800 Kingston/G.Skill-NT

Anymore better combo/deals suggestions are welcome

Thanks

Are you going to be reusing the old power supply? Because it sounds like the old one could have burned out the old mobo.

Also have you thought about an atom board since it is for internet?

If you want to go amd I would get this mobo. and this cpu. That's $100 and you got $50 for the ram of your choice.

Nah the old PSU is still fine, I've tested it with a Q6600 build seems solid so far.

As for the link, I was looking into buying that, but the mobo only is $90 here, so its out of the option.

It is pretty good deal, though newegg is not available as an option here to buy things from.

As for the spare parts I gained what should I do with them? I've got a Athlon 3700+ that can pair up with the AsRock board (ethernet port is gone, but I can slot in a Ethernet 10/1000 pci card) with 2x1GB G.Skill Black Edition DDR400 ram and maybe a PCI-Exp gfx card, what should I do with it? And would it be a good performer?
