Anyone use DVB-S2 tuners?

I use ceton here on my fios, but I'm thinking about having a place in (somewhat) rural asia. From what I gather, there's a lot of free channels up there and these new cards work with the small dishes. So I can put up like maybe 4 dishes. Just wondering if anyone here has used one of these and if they found at least one free channel worth watching.
