i found a github that allows you run resizable bar as efi script in the UEFI if it have above 4g decoding, which most boards do. However being an asrock board i saw they were one of the first to back port resizable bar to older mobos. i'm ostly just toying around with new and old hardware. 🥜🥜🥜

I have no reason to mess with it, but it seems like a reasonable thing to mess around with. If enough address pins are routed from the cpu/memory contoller to pci-e, and the address space is allocated without overlaps, no reason not to try. Not sure if there's some utility to test the gpu memory, that'd be a good thing to run to verify it worked, but if it's writing into the void, you'd figure that out pretty soon, I'd guess.

What is the point? Any CPU on FM2+ would completely knee cap and modern GPU that supports resizable bar.

I checked out the github page. The list of supported ASUS systems seemed all Intel-based.
