I am building a Core 2 duo/8800GTS 320 system...and my main question:Is the 450Watt SmartPower 2.0 that comes with the ANTEC sonata II have enough power to run the following components???

Gigabyte ds3
8800 gts
e4300
2 gigs of ram 667 ddr2
a 320 gb seagate HD
a DVDRW drive

The power supply has 2 12v rails rated at 15A and 17A...My guess is that it should be ok as long as i don't add many more drives...

Any advice would be appreciated....

Thanks,
ERIK

First.... Destroy the SP Antec.... They are the worst PSU with more failure rates....
Do not put your hardware at risk...

Get something better...

I have almost the exact same configuration (see sig). It initially ran fine with the Antec SP 2.0 450W that came with my Sonata II case. After reading enough horror stories here I promptly replaced the PS with a Seasonic S12 650W. So yes, your system will run with the Antec supply but for long term reliability you may eventually want to replace the PS.

There are many horror stories related to that PSU, I have had mine for close to a year and I started getting random restarts and terrible reliability, so I swapped to the Corsair 620W, and its doing fine so far.
