So I'm building a long overdue new system. AMD 890FX based. I'm also finally switching to SSD.

I had the Corsair Force 120 all picked out reay to go. Seems to be a great performer. Then I read that the AMD AHCI driver still doesn't support TRIM (why am I not suprised?).

What do you guys think here? Should I just use the Microsoft AHCI driver? Should I switch to a SSD with Garbage Collection like the OCZ's?

I'm so out of the hardware loop it is hard to get all my parts to match up 100%. What are other AMD users doing for their SSD support?

Yes, just use the Microsoft AHCI driver. If you use AMD's, you do not get TRIM due to the driver not yet passing the command to the controller. There is no performance delta between the two drivers either, expect that when you use the MS driver you don't get slowdown over time.
