My 9850be went from 3gz with OverDrive 2.1.4 to 3.6gz with 2.1.5!! WOW!

Says HT Ref Clock is 240 with 15 multi.

Download it now! You may get 600mz too!! :p

My HT is really 200, but it was fun for a few seconds, 3.6 on air.:)

All Overdrive does for me is completely lock up my system when the overclocks get too high (9850 / Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe). None of the saved overclocking results work as manual settings. I get a maximum of 2.8GHz @ 1.3375V manually, through the BIOS (a voltage higher than that causes crashes). Either my motherboard is a dog, or this particular cpu is and Overdrive doesn't help.

Which bios are you running in that MB?
If your not running the 1406, I suggest you upgrade to it.
It was good for another 100Mhz when I was running that MB with my 9850BE.

I already have 1406. I can set any individual core to 2.9GHz (the rest at 2.8) and run Prime95 endlessly without error on that core, but as soon as I set another core to 2.9 - BAM!, I get a lockup. Voltages don't matter either. I haven't had much luck overclocking my AMD systems (with the exception of one).

To wit -

AMD system 1: K-6 (300MHz/330MHz OC)

AMD system 2: K6-2 (500MHz/550MHz OC)

Intel system: PIII (650MHz/910MHz OC -- woo hoo! -- even got a kudo from Kyle back then)

AMD system 3: Thunderbird (1GHz/1.2GHz OC)

AMD system 4: XP-M 2500+ (1.8GHz/2.2GHz OC w/stock volts, 2.6GHz w/overvolt)

AMD system 5: Opteron 170 (2GHz/2.5GHz OC)

AMD system 6: 9850 (2.5GHz/2.8GHz OC)

(Everything from the K6-2 to the Opty have been on water as well.)

Overdrive v2.15 is buggy, but even v2.14 don't got no lovin' for overclocking. Having Overdrive figure out the overclocking parameters was one of the reasons I put together yet another AMD system. I probably should have kept the Opty as my main system a bit longer, then make the leap back to Intel. But damn!, AMD can make great bang-for-the-buck sometimes.

3 ghz 1.249 V
3.1 1.255 V ACC Auto
3.2 1.276 V ACC Auto
3.3 1.312 V ACC All cores +2
3,4 1.35 V ACC +2 +4 +4 +2
3,5 1,46 V ACC +4 +4 +4 +6
3,6 1.55 V ACC +4 +4 +4 +6
more ?.

Chip 810EPMW (off the best line of phenoms) too poor it does doesnt run over 3600 mhz, and also 2300 mhz HT link is also max. max 3dmark on 8x/8X pci-E 4870 CF is 19300 score winxp 32bit.

Phenom 1 is the most time consuming overclocking ive ever done!

No havnt tested 2.1.5 yet :p

for overclockers with water, phenom 2 will be nice :D price over here is really good vs intel :D

My 9850 does 3 with no probs at 1.3 and ACC 2+. Will do more with more volts but heat very quickly becomes a problem. Have a Zalman 9700. If I try anything with HT I get stability problems. 3 ain't bad, I'm happy enough. May try water someday and see if I can get 3.4 stable without heat. But waiting to see how P2 goes.

Ya know, my joking around aside, OD is a piece of crap. I usually do not like to gripe about free stuff but my CPU, chipset and video cards are all AMD. OD has always had problems with the onboard video and I have had little luck doing much more than using it to monitor things, Now it doesn't even do that well. Seems some of the earlier versions were better.

I am happy with my system but seems to me being all AMD and as long as OD has been out it ought to work better.

anyway, Cheers!
