Amd Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core CPU - Photoshop Test

~50 seconds for my stock clocked 3800+ X2.
1 gb memory.

Running:
One instance of IE.
Two instances of F@H.
Azureus
Peerguardian
NAV

OK with a 'tweaked' run (cleared memory, no F@H, etc) I chopped my times down to between 30 and 32 seconds (from 34ish) :)

Nice... in line with a dual core AMD! :)

X2 3800+ running at 2.1 clocks in at 39sec.

[edit] 37secs after a fresh reboot and nothing but photoshop loaded.

Ran the test 3 times. 19 seconds each time. Quicker than i expected

Athlon X2 4800+ at stock
2 gig Corsair TwinX1024-3200c2pro
Photoshop CS2

I just stumbled upon this thread but I tried it with CS2
2mins 27 seconds
p4 [email protected] (non HT)
768 ram

Mirc, a torrent and msn running. So I gave photoshop "above Normal" priority
In the middle I got an msn message.

~42 seconds first run on CS2 (using the photoshop timer)

37.8 seconds for subsequent runs

Rig in my sig.

Doesn't that seem a little slow for a X2 4400+ ?

I've been wondering about my hdd (Samsung spinpoint 200gb SATA 3.0gb/sec) as norton disk doctor hasn't been liking it lately.. but that wouldn't affect a score like this test, would it?

I get 32 secs with my X2 at 2.6ghz....a 4400+ is only 2.2ghz stock?

yeah. 2.2ghz stock

So then, a 37 second time in that test is probably right....I have an extra 800mhz total that the test uses....I bet if you cranked your cpu up, the times would drop nciely...who says overclocking doesn't help? :p

yeah, my chip isn't a fan of overclocking.. at 2.4ghz it isn't even Prime stable for an hour lol..

just not ready to try much harder at this point :)

i can't wait till my pair of xeons gets here.

should overclock to about 3ghz with HT should get some nice perfomance

5 minutes 35 seconds.

That's my PIII running at 797 mhz with 512 mb RAM on CS2.

Upgrading soon to the AMD x2 3800+ with 4 GB dualchannel DRAM, will post new time soon.

I am really looking forward to this upgrade since the people on here are complaining about their minute time trials, hell, I'd throw a party.
