Are AM4 waterblocks compatible with AM5 CPUs? Hopefully Someone who is custom watercooling their AM5 can chime in.

Can't say blanket 'yes' to this question. MANY will work fine, some will not. The problem is with AM4 blocks that use a custom backplate on the motherboard, because AM5 has a socket retention mechanism on the back. The board holes are in the same place, but the AM4 block's custom bracket might be blocked by the AM5 socket retention mechanism. I got an XSPC AM4 block that has it's bolts screw directly into the existing backet and that works fine. I could not use my old Koolance CPU-390 block though.

I am using a Corsair H150i Elite AIO, which was introduced before AM5 appeared on the market. However, Corsair website said that the CPU block would fit perfectly, and indeed, it's now cooling this system. (y)
