AIM Wont connect...

I have a feeling that my university blocked it. I tried using Trillian, but that wont connect to it either. Does anyone know of any sort of a way that I can override this so I can talk to my family again?

P.S.
Another messenger is out of the question, I have too many people to talk to and theyre too old to figure it out themselves.

ask your university if they blocked it. If so, ask them to unblock it, give them the reason for it.
