i am not new to linux or ubuntu by any means, but I was wondering about certain applications that I like and their definitive linux "equivalents" Here is a list, any help is appreciated.

Mediamonkey - I like this on PC because it provides id3 tag editing stuff that is really nice. What are the best MP3 library-types of software, preferrably most like mediamonkey and less like winamp. I figure soundjuicer is fine for ripping.

soulseek client- for sharing the love

CAS - I saw a couple on there, which math programs are the best? I use maple for school sometimes, the amount I use it varies

CD burning software

For music, I think Amarok is awesome. For P2P, there are mounds of bit torrents clients, limewire, and others. For cd burning, k3b is really good. I don't even know what CAS is so I can't help you out there.

Also, check out sourceforge.com for open source projects on virtually everything. I'm betting you'll find something there
