I've read some reports of this board being unable to boot with an 8800GT or with a SATA DVD drive. Does anyone have experience either way? I'm considering buying this board... but plan to use an 8800GT and a SATA DVD drive (Samsung 20X).
there are certainly some reports of an issue with 8800GTs & abit is looking into it.
Apparently flashing a different BIOS to your gfx card resolves it & no doubt abit will come up with a BIOS fix - the older nF-M2 seems to run 8800GT no problem.
I have 3 of these boards.....I can report they work with the sata dvd drive, no probs.......I use a cheap nasty sata LG DVD's in all three of them.
As for the 8800GT 512mb......It will not send a signal to the monitor, will not post or boot.
I have 2 Inno3d 8800gts's 320mb, and 1 Inno3d 8800gt for my main view....( I run multi monitor X-plane flight sim)
Thinking the 8800gt was dead I took it back to where I got it and it worked in their asus PCIE TYPE 1 motherboard.
After googling around I have found others in the same "no boot" boat using either an ABIT AN-M2 or an AN-M2HD and an 8800gt.
All forums conclude, we need a bios fix or flash the the 8800gt with a PCIE TYPE 1 bios. (found 1 user that has successfully done this)
Details on the last bios update

I am sure Abit will fix this, as the AN-M2 and AN-M2HD both have this no boot with an 8800gt problem.
