9600xt 3dmark2001se scores

doesnt seem high enough for an XT

I just got 14500 with a 9500 @ 9700 pro speeds(softmodded)
2.4c
2x256 3500



I got 16k with it at 2.8 havent tried it with 3.2 yet

i may think about it, but as long as i get the performance i want in games i think it will stay the same
 
That's a low score. I have a ti4200 with my overclocked 2.6C and I get close to 14000.

I have nearly the same machine, 2.4C, 2x256 (3200) and a 9500->9700 softmod. I get around 12200 on 3dmark01, up from 10100 with no softmod. Is your 9500->9700 overclocked?
 
I don't know about 3dmark2001, but in 3dmark03, my sapphire 9600xt only scores around 3050 STOCK. athlonxp 2200+ not overclocked.

Still that is very slow. I've looked at users with 9600PROs running stock and theyre kicking this video cards ass. Wtf gives? I'm going to return this. The 9600XT is all hype.
 
Well just think of it this way, I get 6000 with a GF4 MX 440 running 2k1 SE.

Hell, I'll be happy when I get a score of 10k considering I can run almost all games with max settings right now.
 
I was able to get 13452 on my 9600XT with just overdrive turned on. Although I do have a 2.4b overclocked to 3.1 GHz.

I'm getting 3318 stock on my Athlon 1333MHz with a Sapphire 9600XT/256 (500/297 according to 3DMark03), so I think there's something wrong with your setup :)

My stock speeds were around 14K for 2k1 and 5017 for 2k3 but I just can't stay there and feel OK about myself

I got 5263 for 2k3 - weak OC, but I didn't like using that bench withall the tweaking going on, I still use 2K1 though and am able to get 17104 with mine OC'd

No there is nothing wrong with his setup, 3Dmark 2k3 is designed to just test the video card, processor has nothing to do with the benchmarks. Now if you where to run 2k1 you would find your score lower then his because 2k1 is setup to benchmark the whole system, from RAM all the way to Vid cards.
 
i know my 2.6c will go to 3.2, i may try it there but it is only on stock cooling... should i worry about temps?
