im thinking of upgrading to a 8800gt 512mb,i play at 1680x1050 res,will it be worth it from a 8800gts,or should i wait,crysis runs terrible on medium settings.

For Crysis @ 1680x1050 would should be looking at a GTX or Ultra instead. The 8800 GT provides a great experience in Crysis, mostly @ 1280x1024, with most settings set to high and the rest to medium. 1680x1050 is pushing it, but at medium settings, you should be ok. It's definitely a good upgrade from a 8800 GTS 320, for everything else.
If you had to pay money (beyond shipping) 320gts>512gt then I think you would be disppointed.
At medium settings the gt should be ok at the resolution, but still slow. None of he 8800 cards can handle this game at high, the gt and higher can do medium and some high settings.
With the 9xxx series coming in February, you might want to wait and see what that brings.
