Ok, trying to sort through all this monitor stuff is driving me crazy!

I am looking for the following in a monitor:

24"+
1920 x 1080
HDMI
HDCP
great picture quality (duh)
ability to interface easily with ps3 (1:1 scaling ?)
preferably non-glossy
good viewing angle
so far I think I have narrowed my search to the following:

LG L246WP-BN
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824005099

only I don't like is that I would have to use a dvi adaptor, but I think I live with it, also it seems like the monitor has been out for a while.

Does anyone have any other suggestions before I pull the trigger on this?

Im in the market for the same display and have the same Budget!

Im considering eitehr the SHARP/LG or SONY 32" and many of them are at $799.99

I think a monitor that big would be a little overkill 2 feet from my face :p

Here's a suggestion... it may be hard to find, but Circuit City has this monitor on clearance for $300. If you can get it for that price then jump on it. Otherwise, I would keep looking because that monitor is not worth the $620 Newegg sells it for.

The DoubleSight DS-263N would be a good choice.
There is a thread about it on [H].
You'd need to use a HDMI adapter.

wow.. $300?
I will go to CC tomorrow :p

What would you recommend that is worth the big bucks?

If you want to shell out the big bucks then you can get the DoubleSight DS-263N that Yelnats mentioned for $685.

the DoubleSight looks really interesting,

does anyone know of any reviews besides that thread?

You can read reviews for the 26" Planar, as it is almost the same monitor.

ToastyX is one of the most knowledgeable and demanding LCD users on this forum, so the only reason I'd want another review is to see if there is any variance from panel to panel. A test with another HDCP device would be nice too/

thank you sir, you just saved me over 300$!!

My circuit city had it for $277 making my total under $300!!!

I was really liking the doublesight but i couldn't pass up this deal.. plus he fact of instant gratification and a return policy!

Here are some pics of it with my shitty 2001fp doing winxp, ubuntu, and some ps3 action.

w00t!

Nice luck, think I paid several hundred more for the same monitor. Best LCD purchase I've ever made, though.
