Sometimes when I'm playing CS:S my game will just freeze. The in game sounds will stop and everything will stop, including the net_graph 3 and everything. Sometimes after a few seconds the computer reboots also.

I'm 90% sure that this is due to my PSU not supplying enough power to the video card. But I'm looking for some reassurance. I suppose it could be the cooling, but my temps aren't going to far over 70C whenever I check them while I'm playing CS:S. My specs are in my sig.

PS: Would an Enermax Noisetaker 485w PSU and maybe a Zalman VF700 do the trick? (I want the Zalman anyways because this stock HSF is too effing loud).

70c? wow

Whats the speed on your CPU? you might be putting a strain on it

EDIT: nvm lol, ummm well the card should be able to handel that game no dought, and you have plenty of ram, so cooling is prob the x factor

anything else running on the same molex line as the video card?

I had a antec true430 and it would freeze sometimes, so I upgraded to a antec 550control.

It was more convinient to add a HD to the molex line with the video card, but it still froze up unless it was all alone.

(I am running 5 HD's, which necessitiated increasing the ps)
