I dont think so. I get about 30 different Mags a month and i never get the CD's you get if you buy from the actual site. Even if you order from like ValueMags or another magazine vendor you usually dont get the CD's. Its cheaper for you and them to offer both versions. Their only Demo's on the CD's but of course even Demo's are welcomed by those on dial up like myself :).
 
I am going to get a place just to put free stuff I don't need... all that crap from comdex/ces/sema/porn convention's they hold here in vegas, always have to swipe you card to get the free stuff then they spam your house with magazines, letters, ect...
 
any other free magazines i can sign up for? i will sign up for anything practically...

After you get your Three mags, the pester the hell out of ya...Sending mail saying they can't give there mags away free. I write on the bill stating I don't want the mag and thanks for the first three for free......After that if they send more...I write on there not at this address and put back in the mailbox.

All their trying to get you to do is pay to extend your subscription. If you get any bills in the mail when you sign up for free mags then just throw them in the trash. The subscriptions are already payed for when you sign up for the free offer. If they stop sending to you then big deal. It didn't cost you a penny :). I get a TON of mags every month so i havn't had any problems.
 
Badass man, thanx. I've been looking to resubscribe to CGW, but I don't have the money atm. 6 free issues would get me updated on the new games. :D

No problem ;). I was a bit skeptical myself when i first started learning about free magazines but now that im getting my mail box full with nearly every computer and game magazine there is i dont have a problem with it :). As long as the offers you sign up for dont ask for a Credit Card then you have nothing to worry about. NEVER give out your CC for a free mag subscription, EVER. Its not like their going to come to your house and make you pay for the FREE magainzes you signed up for lol. Its their choice whether or not to send them to you so their the ones getting screwed but their not actually cause they are making tons of money off all the advertisements in the magazines and they have to give out a certain amount of free ones to meet their quota.
