4770s Question

Has anyone seen any reviews done of the 4770s? I want to see how it compares to the 4770k. I doubt I will be overclocking and if the heat output is significantly less it might be the chip for me in an itx case.
 
I have not, but judging from previous Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs, it may be safe to say that they will limit max heat output, but have similar average heat output. In most cases, unless you are severely limited in some manner (for instance using an 80W PicoPSU), it usually does not matter from a heat output or power draw issue.
 
The 4770S and 4770K are identical, except that the K has an unlocked multiplier. The S version is clocked lower than the regular 4770 so that's why the TDP is lower.

I chose the 3770S in my build, I have no performance issues at all
