40 Thinclients Sound Fun?

My work is throwing away about 40 thinclients and I was wondering if there was any cool ideas that I could steal from you guys that I could do with them.

They are all 800MHZ, 512MB Storage, 1 GIG ram.

I know Im going to use a few as basic browsers for my family members who arent so computer savvy, but how about for myself?

Any cool cluster ideas or anything in general?

If not I might just have to let them be thrown away :(
 
There's a nice list of things in the FAQ... yes, this is a commonly asked question. ;)
 
They work good for a cheap way to have an internet terminal in the kitchen or whatnot.
 
If they have a PCI slot you could turn a few into PFSense router boxes.. I did this with a Wyse 9550 thin terminal awhile back. Worked well for my 15Mbit connection, but it was maxxed out because the onboard Via network chipset was using too many interrupts.

800mhz each, not too great unless you dsid cluster them all together somehow in linux
 
throw one in the garage and one in the bar downstairs.....least thats what I did with mine
