40"-60" display for monitor - low lag

Need something large for a conference room setting. Most critical is that it needs to function well as a monitor in terms of no mouse lag. Color quality is secondary. I know there are threads on here about digging through settings to reduce lag - I've tried numerous TVs, and generally even after getting things set to PC/game the lag is still evident compared to a proper monitor. Not to mention the settings need to be changed for every input, and there is the possibility of multiple users mucking things up.

Is it just unrealistic to expect a TV to work well in such a setting? $$$ is of course a concern but not necessarily a limiting factor. I'm assuming I need to be looking at large format monitors - something like this Dell E5515H? 1920x1080 is fine.

In the 40" range a 4k monitor might be preferable, though it would likely be downsampling to 1920x1080 anyway. The Korean eBay specials are a tough sell in a corporate environment. Philips BDM4350UC? Dell P4317Q? Any other options?

I will of course do more searching but thought I might get some comments here.
