2x6800GTs vs a Single 7900GT?

Currently in my machine I have an eVGA 6800GT and I am wondering what will yield better performance buying a second 6800GT and running SLI or selling my current 6800GT and buying a 7900GT? As far as price goes, I've seen most 6800GTs going for $150 or so and most 7900GTs going for a little above $200 (These prices being from the FS/FT part of the forum). Thanks in advance.
 
It will be close.. I know that my 7600gt's in SLi are beating the 7900gt.. 1x 7600 > 6800gt.. but it will be kinda close.

my vote goes for either way.
 
i have evga 6800gts running in sli and my brother has a 7900gt, we've compared benchmarks and performance under diff apps and i may beat him in some and he beats me in some, but for the most part it is practically even, i'd say save the cash and pick up a 6800gt and use it towards something else
 
In most areas the 7900gt will beat a 6800gt sli, but its close and cheaper (and more fun brag wise) to do the sli route for you in this case since you already have one.
