23"/24" 16:9 IPS/PLS monitors and the S24D590PL

So I am still looking for a good monitor and I stumbled on the Samsung S24D590PL. Everything is good about it except the lack of a height adjustable stand. I was wondering if there were any similar monitors around the same price range that anyone recommends.

The S24D390 & S24D590 with their 27" big brothers are still the best IPS/PLS 1080p (along with the Dell P & U is you're ok with those).
Bet their only real flaw (besides the poor equipement) is the strong PLS glow.

Haven't read anything about upcoming alternatives yet. That segment of the market is very quiet...
 
I was wondering if Samsung S27D390HS have the same performance as Samsung S24D590PL, AD PLS panel, no PWM, and ability to overclock to 72Hz ?

Yes all D390 & D590 have the same AD PLS panel in 24" & 27" sizes.

The only little difference I've noticed is that at least two reviews state the D390 have a little bit better color accuracy and perfect 2.2 gamma, easily reachable with only a quick journey in the menus.
It wasn't the case with D590 units that remained a little off (2.3).

But you know, this could be due to marketing/test units all coming from the same batch of produced D390 & D590.
There's no proof all stocks will be the same.

EDIT: Don't know if the D390 can do 72Hz like the D590...
