screw waiting in line for anything lol its either in stock and purchasable or no ty lol i dont know how you guys can do that
PNY accidentally put up their Geforce 2080 page early, and we have confirmation that the next generation Nvidia cards don't support HDMI 2.1. Of course, we all expected this, since Nvidia are evil cocksuckers who want to sell their shitty G-Sync modules instead of do the right thing. So basically, you've got shit performance from AMD or no ability to use OLED TVs with VRR with Nvidia. Good job, Earth, you fucking pile of trash.

Microcenter is expected to have cards avail Tues morning.
If the performance is there, it’s justified. 50% over 1080Ti warrants a $999 price in this market. Don’t like it? Buy the 2080 or get a job.
Blame the slackers at AMD, not nVidia for making superior products and capitalizing on them.
Yeah, the fact that the same version of the 1080ti runs $899 on their site tells me the 2080ti is probably not going to cost $1000. $899 for a 1080ti is absurdly high, so I'm more interested in the $100 price gap between the two cards. I'd bet that gap is what were going to be looking at for normally priced cards, so we're likely to see $799-849, imo.
I remember when 1k was the price of a titan.
Now it's the price of a gaming part.
Historically the Ti version was always a bit faster. All nVidia is doing is releasing the 2080 Ti now instead of the Titan. Now, there could be some unknown reasons for this other than the obvious. Perhaps there will be a die shrink and or improvements, other factors upcoming to where they can release a Titan Ti or something that's even more powerful down the road. Who knows.
Maybe the Titan V trend will continue? Kinda back to the original Titan’s intent of prosumer rather than gamer.
$1k is absolutely fine for the top card for me. As long as it’s really the top card... near max die size, ect. I remember the first Titan Xp launched and I criticized it. I was told faster wasn’t possible and be happy with what you get. I skipped it then a little while later the faster Titan Xp launched haha.
If I am dropping that much money it damn well better be the best for the generation. $1k for 20 BILLION transistors a few nanometers(25-50, whatever it is) across.. I mean holy shit, that’s amazing.
Probably 700 but we'll see.Apparently the MSRP of the PNY cards is always inflated and the real MSRP of the Ti card should be $800USD.
Probably 700 but we'll see.
I'd be surprised if the plain 2080 is 650, myself.700 for ti and 649 for 2080? I doubt it. $800 minimum for Ti, I doubt nvidia is releasing it at the same time to price it so close. I think we gonna have to pay a premium this time with no competition. color me surprised if the Ti is 700.
It's all fortune telling at this point. The MSRP has not been leaked. People are speculating at this point. Just two days to go and we will find out! I really hope the Ti card will be announced on Monday.700 for ti and 649 for 2080? I doubt it. $800 minimum for Ti, I doubt nvidia is releasing it at the same time to price it so close. Some people justify anything if it's something they really want. Using current 1080 ti pricing to justify the pricing of a new faster part would mean prices should never go down and continually increase at 20%-50%+ (whatever perf increase %), which I would hope most anyone agrees does not make sense, nor is it sustainable.I don’t understand 1080 ti owners wanting to buy a 2080 ti spending $1k for a %20 improvement... is that good value to anyone? For that money I’d expect at least %100 more performance minimum. I buy x60 range and expect it to be previous gen x70 at least, closing in on previous gen x80 range.
That said, if the 2060 costs $300, decision made: $100 increase over what x60 used to be 3 years ago = I’ll buy amd for the next upgrade. Then again, I’ll buy nothing without hdmi 2.1. If that means another year with my 1060, so be it. My ps4 is keeping me entertained anyway.

Wait so if someone who doesn't want to spend 1000 for 2080 ti because last gen ti cost $699. They don't have a job?
My point is a 50% leap in performance over last gen justifies a $1k price in this market, without competition.
Your acting like these price points are new, nvdia been doing this since the 8800 ultra. That thing was 800 dollars on release day. The top tier nvidia graphics card is always going to be way more then the mid tier. Pc gaming is my favorite hobby, so I can justify dropping 1k on the top tier graphics card, thats why they have the xx60 and xx70 to fill that spot where your willing to spend xx dollars.
I remember when 1k was the price of a titan.

Including AMD unfortunately. I'm sure they could sell a shit ton of Vegas if they priced them at $299 and $399.
Pretty funny how so many people still don't know how supply and demand works.
All you do is complain. You complained about the 4k144hz displays and now your complaining about this. Perhaps its time you find another hobby, because your constant belly aching is not helping anything.
^ This.

Those days are long gone my friend..
Is this your only hobby? I mean, can you justify spending $1,000 on something else that you equal to the enjoyment/pleasure that you would get out of owning a high end gaming graphics card? For example, I just purchased an intercooler ($650) and ecu flasher ($500) for my car, which I can use to make my car faster but could potentially blow the engine up. I also recently bought a $1000 e-scooter if said engine does blow and I can still get around town.
