2.4ghz @ 800mhz FSB w/HT verses 2.8ghz @ 533mhz without HT?

Hey guys....

thread title says it all... at work I have a chance to swap my current PCs 2.8ghz processor which works at 533mhz FSB and DOESNT have hyperthreading to a 2.4ghz running at 800mhz WITH hyperthreading...

which will be faster for everyday email/heavy firefoxing/unreal tournament 2004 (b/c thats all I really do at work )? Both chips are Northwoods....

so which would you rather have?

I'd take the faster bus with HT, and OC to make up the frequency difference. Then you have the best of both.

I guess the 2.4C with HT.

Too bad (I assume) you can't overclock, b/c most 2.4C's would hit 3Ghz with out blinking an eye.

My trusty old 2.4C is still chugging along in one of my PC's at 3.2Ghz undervolted: http://www.crowdcontrolusa.com/overclock/mirage.html
