A kidney... stone?! No one wants that...Do I need it? Probably not.
Do I want it? YES!
Common ... sense ... must ... prevail!
Muahahha, who am I kiddin'. I will sell a kidney stone and buy it fresh on the 27th of May at first light when they hit the shelves.
Same for me. Planning to grab 1070 and get 80ti or wait till volta after that.I've sold mine. Now, I'm gaming on Intel Graphics 530.
Played my friends and the Graphics did not wow me like I thought I was. I did reorder another Rift and it says I should get another one in August. After fees I cleared $550 Profit so its great not killing my savings to go SLI with the 1080sWhy sell the rift when you're about to get a card that takes advantage of it?
i've been waiting for it. 8gb of memory and faster than the titan x. i have $800 do you guys think it will be enough?
thanks.product costs $599/$699, so yes?
Almost certainly not, depends on cooling/boost clock/power of AIB cardswill the founders-edit. going to be faster than the non-found.edit. ?
I will never understand comments like this. Using your logic we should all wait and buy hardware after what we have is already obsolete then? I buy high end hardware that meets all of my needs now and anything that could be coming up in the next year or so. We already have games that can utilize more than 6 gigabytes of vram on the right settings. High-res textures don't really require much more processing power at all but they do require more vram. Plus with a 256-bit bus the only other option to step down to would be 4 gigabytes which would be stupid at this level of card. I would certainly rathet have too much vram than not enough and most games utilize that extra vram if you have it.I don't see any use in upgrading cards. What's coming out that needs 8gb of framebuffer?
Yeah that's why I'm sick of people saying do not compare this to the 980 TI. For 700 freaking dollars I damn sure will compare it to the 980ti that only launched at 650. This is sickening having a card with a mid-range die launch at this price. It bothers the hell out of me that it's getting so much praise. The cards themselves are impressive, the price isnt for a next gen x80 card.
The FE x80s are more expensive than last gen ti, it doesnt bode well for the new ti and and Titan cards (assuming we even get a ti this time round!)
If the OC cards are not power limited we could see some worthwhile purchases.
How exactly does the step up program work? For myself the answer is "it depends"
I bought an Evga 980ti classy on March 24. If I can get the step up I upgrade and the cut off is June 24. If I can't get in the que for it I will keep my 980ti for the rest of the year.
I am currently running a 970 at 1080P.
I am about to start a new office setup which will require new monitors.
I am unable to find a clear answer is if a single 1080P will run 4k at high settings or not. It is all very confusing.
I am a single monitor/card gamer. I run 1080P because I want to maintain a standard on my screens for Video content, TV, and my PS4 etc. Its 4k or wait for me.
Really dumb question.
How bad does down scaling to 1080P look on a 4k monitor? If it doesn't look awful I may spring for the 4k monitors now anyway.
I do not currently play anything demanding, but I could in the future.
UK buyers are getting fucked hard, £620-£650 for fucking reference cards that equates to $902.99 to $946.68 for a $600 card.
May move the 970 down a level and get a 1070 not sure yet still weighing my options. I need to upgrade the 750TI in my workstation box to go 4k... Not sure what my plan is yet. Might just grab a 950 or what not too.
You give them a stack of cash, they take away your old card and you get a new one.How exactly does the step up program work?
You give them a stack of cash, they take away your old card and you get a new one.
When I tried to use this service it was such a rip off that it was way less expensive to sell the card myself.
The amount they give you for your old card is pitiful.
I put no value in the step up program.
