Can you buy from Tigerdirect? They have the 2500K in stock:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7073161&CatId=6988
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 $129.86 Shipped
Not a good choice for the money considering that it only has a 1-2 year warranty and that other AsRock Z68 mobos have faired fairly poor in HardOCP reviews:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/12/07/asrock_z68_pro3_lga_1155_motherboard_review/
http://hardocp.com/article/2011/11/09/asrock_z68_extreme4_gen3_motherboard_review/

I'd recommend this Gigabyte mobo instead:
$123 - Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 Intel Z68 ATX Motherboard
CORSAIR XMS 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 $47.99 shipped
Not a good choice for the money when this similar performing RAM is $13 less:
$35 - Patriot Signature PSD38G1600KH 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM
CORSAIR Professional Series HX750 $139.99 Shipped $20 MIR
....
XFX HD-697A-CNFC Radeon HD 6970 $349.99 shipped
Note that if you buy the PSU and GPU together from this combo link, you can knock an additional $17 off the total:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.809302
LIAN LI Lancool PC-K63 Shipped $119.98
Not a good choice for the money considering that it's fairly cramped. I recommend this cheaper case instead:
$100 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case

SanDisk Ultra SDSSDH-120G-G25 2.5" 120GB $134.99
.....
Instend of the SSD i could get a Western Digital Caviar Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM for $137.85 shipped.
Neither the SSD or hard drive are a good choice: The SSD is an older and fairly slow model while that WD drive is just overpriced. I recommend the following SSD and HDD instead:
$120 - Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 64GB SSD w/ USB to SATA Adapter and Drive Cloning software
$126 - Hitachi Desktar 7K1000.D HDS721010DLE630 1TB SATA 6.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Also i will be ordering from newegg only, as i have a newegg preferred account. all the items are from newegg.

but i am picky when its comes to ram/motherboard's

i dont trust nor like Gigabyte, ram wise i like corsair/G.skill only. I like asrock/Asus nothing else.

Here is the updated build.

I'd consider trying to stretch for a 128GB SSD, if you can. 64GB is do-able, but you'll have to pay attention to space fairly closely. 128GB gives you a lot more flexibility.

You could make up some of the price difference by switching to the Antec High Current Gamer 750:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371049

Also, have you considered going with the i5-2500K instead of the i7-2600K? For gaming and normal productivity stuff it will perform the same (and overclocks the same also). It is only if you do highly threaded stuff like video encoding that you would really need the HT support of the i7. That knocks $100 off the price also.

64gb is only holding BF3 and windows 7.

as for the psu the 6970+corsair 750watt is a combo deal.

Newegg has no 2500k's, and thats where my line of credit is on newegg. The psu is part of a combo.

You didn't add the cost of a HSF. Adding the Corsair HSF you mentioned earlier bumps the total up to around $1381. As such, it's only an ok deal if you really like that Rosewill case and that Asus mobo and really don't care about the one year warranty on the Seagate drive and lesser PSU quality. I'd stick with the first build for the faster and longer warrntied hard drive and better quality PSU.

will this work good for me then, did i get all the good stuff now XD. i dont mind paying extra, i am planing on keeping this computer for 3 years.

I forgot to add that in my first post what games would be played

My games BF3/Wow/and others

After the rebates i am only $76 over budget. which i can live with.

Does the build look soild now? or do i need to change something?

Thanks

Besides listing the RAM twice (Ignore if you're planning on 16GB), setup looks fine to me.

Though the HD 7950 is supposedly due out later this month. Considering that those combo deals don't expire till the end of the month, I'd hold off on the GPU purchase at the very least and see what the HD 7950 brings to the table.

honestly this will be the biggest custom i have done in a longgg time.

I have been on a laptop playing bf3. it only has a T6600/GT240m. so anything is better. i will look into the 7950. i just wanna play bf3 so bad at high setting @ 1920x1080 lol
