Agreed, I had a lot of issues with AMD drivers in the not so distant past. They did end up fixing most of them but it took about 9 months.

For the games that I play and at the resolution I have them set for, the 3080 is better or equal to. Pretty pathetic.

Annnnd my 3080 is still faster, sigh.

I have had read MANY reviews about AM5 and stability issues. I want to upgrade but the platform doesn't seem super polished at this point. Probably going to take some BIOS revisions to fix some of the issues you are having. AMD drivers, generally, imho, are pretty horrible.

Exactly, the bent pin should be pretty obvious, especially for someone that has a lot of experience putting machines together. If I saw that I would have immediately contacted newegg (would not have tried to install the CPU) and let them know. I wish you good luck with the process.

Can you prove without a doubt that it was like that before you opened it?

That doesn't mean they will accept it. Newegg is notorious for rejecting RMAs

If it's just one and it's bent you might be able to carefully bend it back into place.

Also, random, easy thing to try is reset CMOS.

Seems to me that these are some potentially game changing tweaks that should be made at the BIOS level sans windows software. Intel limiting this to the 14th gen is shady at best when in reality the 12/13th gen ecores need serious optimization.

I know that certain motherboards require the Intel Management Engine firmware to be updated prior to the bios being updated. Have you looked into that?
