Thanks, I appreciate it. Where there should be a smooth color change you get hard lines seperating the colors. If you have Photoshop, a black-white gradiant will show the banding quite well. It's a 24-bit monitor which one would think would not have these problems.

I'd go with the 6800 GT since it is a piece of cake to successfully OC past Ultra levels and its extra feature support will likely let it do better in newer games. Even in unoptimized games (Far Cry) SM 3.0 is providing a major speed boost where heavy shading comes into play.

I got a 6800 GT recently. Amazing card, overclocks well past Ultra speeds with ease. However, I'm running a 2.4B P4 at stock speeds. I figured since they're only up to 3.4 I wouldn't be seeing scores too much lower....ha. What's with these new processors that pushes them so far ahead? Seriously...

You will definitely love the difference. Going from a G4 4400 to a 6800 GT was like playing on a whole new comp, even with just a P4 2.4B. Planning on upgrading that soon so I can see just how far this'll go. I highly recommend BFG's card in particular.

Well, I gave up and am canceling my order. Can't say my first Fry's experience has been a great one. Ended up getting the $399 BFG 6800 GT from Chumbo. Its seventy dollars more, but I have a feeling it'll perform well longer and hey it'll be here in 2 days :D
