ive narrowed it down to either the psu or motherboard - its a 300 watt psu that comes with the evercase ECE4252. now i get that error in windows, but linux seems to run fine...
the problem started at least two weeks ago and seems to show no signs of stopping. it MAINLY occurs when i play 3d-intensive games, but ive had several occasions (especially recently) where it will happen after a few hours or so of normal use.

im not expecting to run at full eye candy (and frankly, i prefer smoother framerates to maxed-out eye candy, though someday ill be able to max the eye candy out as well), but will this system give me at least...
im planning on reformatting soon and i havent been able to find a folder that specifies where the save game data is. does anyone know where it places the saved game files in? thanks
please note that this is not the same as the corrupted file problem which is quite similar - in fact, i already installed that fix and it seemed to do nothing
when i leave standby mode, the drive seems to be hidden yet the drive letter is still skipped. if i restart the computer, it reappears...
i heard reports that the mx700 has a weird mouse sensitivity problem with this game, notably in that the mouse sensitivity ingame option only seems to affect the left-right movement; the up-down is locked at an annoyingly fast speed
can anyone confirm this? is there any way to fix this that...
it seems like out of nowhere my cpu has been pushing over 60 degrees idle - i found out the semi-hard way last night when i came home and heard a long continuous beep from the speaker that kept alternating high/low pitches (i have an epox 8k5a2 if that matters)
my cpu fan is also a lot louder...
