If you were refering to the GA-K8NS-939, I have one. I just bought mine about 3 weeks ago along with a 3200+ 90nm 939 Winchester A64. I have 2 sticks of the Simple Technology 512mb pc3200 that Sam's Club has and haven't had a hiccup or problem since I put it all together. Full specs below...
This will probably fix it. If you have a 5 slot MB try it in the Middle or 3rd slot, a 4 or 6 slot may need to go up or down one.
What it sounds like to me is the slot the card is in was sharing the IRQ that was also used for the SATA controller.
I use a Audigy 2 Platinum currently and will be sampling the Audigy 4 shortly. As for ripping it out and making love to it, all I gotta say is "Rock On"....... :D
I'd say give it a month or 2 after "Both" cards are available on store shelves and then make the decision. Last minute production changes could make notable differences in the performance of the Retail Cards. I am going to compare the 6800 Ultra to the XT PE before I buy.
Yep, Bring it. I just finished Far Cry and this one took it in stride with spare..Rig below

As long as memory is present and a monitor and PSU attached, Yes it should at least boot to a "insert bootable disk" message or the "Floppy disks fail" message or get you started on debugging parts.
Ram prices fluctuate monthly, sometimes daily. It's been this way for many years. My take on it is the chip manufacturers regulate the pricing as they see fit, by regulating how much product they release to the market (<- flip the sentence and it's still the same.)
I can remember paying...
SLK-800A should do ya fine. I have one on a 2500+ AQXEA 0331 oc'd on stock voltage to 3200+ with a 70mm AOC/EC Aluminum fan and AS Ceramique and my loaded temps are 87-89F after 4 hrs of DFBHD. No Load is around 80-83F with room temp at 72F.
If it suddenly stopped working, I would think the HSF draws to much current for the on board controller.
For a rewire tie the red fan wire to the yellow on a molex and the blk to a blk. The Fan should still work.
Take a bootable floppy that has FDISK.EXE on it (preferably made on a 98se/me computer), boot the computer from the floppy and run fdisk. View the partition information and make sure that the primary partition is still active, if not you will have to re-enable it.
I have had that get reset on...
I'll second that. He went from an old N-Force to a Newer N-Force there shouldn't be a need to reinstall or do a repair install, all the drivers are the same.
Going from a Via to N-Force is a whole other thing, or Intel to AMD and Vice Versa for that matter.
Or they will have the spinner (tamper) sleeves on the cables that require a socket tool to get the cables on or off with.
As for the channels, it is a normal set (mostly). The hotel may have the 3 and 4 channel removed or locked out from the normal channel list.
Assuming you are refering to the PSC706 card;
The manual states "Select this mode when listening using headphones rather than speakers. The headphones should be plugged into the 'front' speaker jack."
You then need to select headphones in the software.
Hope this helps.
The straw thing would let me have virtually any light color (as I have white to start with) or combination of colors (red, wht, blue for instance) just by adjusting the length of the piece I put over the tube casing.
It has it's advantages over single colored tubes.
I have a some I shot while I was working on the 2 and with em running on a PS. I run mine white so I dont have anything with the straws.
Let me find the pics and i'll post em..
Here are some,

Yes it works very well. I have 2 reworked ones in my case. Most of those use a power supply module that is separate from the rest of the control electronics, and runs on 12v.
It's just a matter of finding out what is power and ground and hooking it to a molex and switch. The tube can usually...
I agree with MajorDomo. Before getting the cart in front of the horse to speak, make sure the horse can pull the cart.
Goto Gateways website or call them and see if a bios update is needed for either of those OS's to work correctly on that Computer. It may need one or not.
More especially...
