Now that I'm thinking about it.... I was only able to play a bit last night (Sunday) this past weekend. I don't remember being lasered from across the map once... Hurray! I lost because I suck, not because of cheaters!
I hopped on that Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+ deal for ~$400 last week. I was tired of waiting for Navi and my GTX 1060 6GB wasn't cutting it for Apex Legends. $100 less than a RTX 2070 with performance between the 2070 and 2070 Ti made it an easy decision.
Side Note: Has anyone else noticed the high...
For Windows: notifications don't work, searching is too slow, saving a file to your local machine through Slack is awkward, it likes to prevent Windows from restarting, and it doesn't minimize to the notification area when you click the "X" (it stays on the task bar). These things happen even...

The author is getting ripped apart in the comments. My question is this: Are these guys getting paid like Instagram influencers to post this kind of stuff?
Stutter-fest on my 24UD58-B + GTX 1060. However, I am using triple monitors, two with DSR@UHD (4x scaling). IME, Nvidia cards seem to get finicky with 3+ monitors. Oh well.
What motivation does Nvidia have to move away from G-Sync other than pressure from a competitor? How many times has platform cost been talked about on [H] for GPU+monitor? Nvidia likes making money. They aren't going to suddenly move to an open standard when they have a functional closed...
How many times did ATI make this mistake? Hardware features before software implementation is usually not a great business plan. Sidenote: Dr. Lisa Su is THE pillar of current AMD. The recent difference in professionalism vs Jensen Huang is astounding.
I got my GTX 1060 6GB new for $190 in June of 2017. I get ~4K 60FPS in most things with some settings tweaked. I'm waiting for the next card to replace this at the $200 price point.
Anyone notice the extra room below the CPU chip? Something tells me they are saving the 16c/32t Ryzen monster for a response to Intel depending on what they do. See my doctored photo.
You realize that he probably buys his stuff from ebay or another placed priced similarly, right? I understand that you want to help the OP, but you are coming across as pushy. Just dial back the intensity by a notch or two. This isn't a contest.
OP: If you have any questions, PM me. I'm going...
Ebay has legit keys for less than $5. Just find a seller who has sold a bunch (noted in red) and above 99% feedback. I've gotten a few keys for older machine on there and haven't had any problems.

There are a bunch of places selling it for $174.99. Newegg just happened to sell out at the sale price of $164.99. You won't see or feel a difference between the HP and the 970 Evo. Not worth the extra $/GB
CPU maxes out at 2933 natively. Returns greatly diminish after that. High speed RAM...
If you are mostly gaming, browsing, there is no reason to get the additional RAM right now. Plus, it is way easier to add RAM later than deal with moving your OS. If it were me, I'd keep the SSD (32GB of RAM would cost more than the difference from 1TB to 500GB SSD anyway) and save a RAM upgrade...
Yeah, definitely time to upgrade.
Under budget, room for upgrades later on:

If so, time to upgrade. I would be surprised if that PSU could do 500W for 30 minutes without catching fire, let alone 600W. There is so much more to PSUs than 80Plus ratings and wattage. Noise, ripple, voltage regulation...
What model EVGA PSU do you have? You said 600W, but that doesn't tell me much. If it isn't a higher end model that is 80PLUS Gold or better, I would upgrade. The one I listed has a crazy 12 year warranty.
What HSF do you plan to use?
You are right to wait on replacing the GPU until the next wave...
Yeah, I can see how it would be hard to implement a universal health care system as only Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand...
The fact that this question has to be asked is effing ridiculous. If you are an American citizen, you should not have to hide information from your doctor in order to afford health insurance. I don't understand how a country as "great" as America can make that claim and refuse to give a flying...
So, does access to all of MS tech mean access to develop more backdoors? There's nothing I love more than managing client servers with zero day vulnerabilities.
I was thinking the same sort of thing when I was watching the video. This tech is a pandora's box. Between this, AI facial mapping and AI voice modulation, imagine where all this tech will be in 5 or 10 years.
Scary stuff when you think about it.
I'm not talking about high end gaming or high end professional. I'm talking about mid-high and lower. Intel is going to struggle to match today's Vega in 2020, let alone beat AMD or Nvidia's high end in 2020. Mobile phones and tablets are getting so powerful that ARM is going to be part of the...
