It could be trying to connect to the older monitor. Trying uninstalling the gpu and monitor drivers with old monitor plugged in and rebooting with no drivers and the new acer.
Got the screen, I got DP 1.2 with 4:4:4 4k @ 60Hz working flawlessly with my OC'd GTX 770. Two complaints:

Alright, you convinced me. This is the only 2160p60 4:4:4 display with PIP and PBP (x4) and a USB 3.0 HUB. This is exactly what I wanted for my workspace. I hope the panel is good enough and the 8.5ms response time is unnoticeable or I'll be returning this for the Samsung UE850.
