I'd get a card with a blower cooler to such a case.
But that's just me.
Also it would be a tight fit but I guess it could fit, the MSI card I mean.
Found a pic of the SG05 with a 10" GTX680 in it
It actually fits a GTX 680 vanilla which is afaik 10.5" but dunno if the case was modded.
Oh wait...
Damn this thread is mind numbing. Increase the God damn temperature target just like I've said couple of times and just like EVGA_JacobF instructed you.
Did you even bother to open the TechPowerUp link I put in my last post?
Open it. Read it. Get it now?
It's how the GPU Boost 2.0 functions. You have a temperature target of 80*C.
When your card meets the temperature target, it will downclock itself to STAY at the temperature target.
If it...
Meh, ended up ordering the evga 670 vanilla card from a finnish etailer. Decent price, ish.
Got tired of waiting.. I'll use it, if it's a good overclocker I'll keep it and put it under water at somepoint. If not I'll fire up the step up and get a 770 or if I go wild why not the 780.
There's nothing wrong with your card.
Your card is hitting 80*C under load. And why does that matter you might ask? The temperature target is 80*C. And that matters because? When it hits the temperature target the gpu will downclock slightly.
GPU Boost 2.0 in action...
Like I said, increase the...
"That's pretty interesting and yeah it seems that the 760 has less vram chips on the back then the 770 which has 8. I mean it evens out to 2 gigs somehow but that is very weird."
VRM Voltage Regulation Module
VRAM Video Random Access Memory
The actual VRAM chips are on the front side of the...
Thanks for the review.
So looked at the OC perf section and the 7950B is performing 8.4% faster when the average FPS is calculated from those six results. Discard Tomb Raider and it's 4.7% faster.
System power consumption is 31.8% higher with 7950B with both OC'd.
So mmyeah, 760 definitely is...
So have you gotten your card?
I see that newegg has updated their product pictures.
The 760 rev2.0 definitely has the 770 PCB but I'm a bit confused by this.
Apparently the specs

A thread that came up by googling that NEC/tokin...
Well I'll order the new gpu sometime during the next weekend. Have no idea though which I'd get..
If the 2762 SC doesn't come back in stock or EVGA doesn't release any info regarding the 2764 FTW model I'll just get the 670 FTW Sig2.
Downloaded both of those from TPU's bios database, opened with KBT 1.25, they're pretty much identical.
Same power, same voltage, same boost. Same everything.
I'd say you're fine with a 750w, what Corsair model is that?
Reference 680 SLI peaks 360w in Crysis 2 and averages ~325w
If your 680 SLI would pull 400w then you'd still be left with 350w for the rest of the system.
Too bad reviews only started focusing on frame times lately.
Hope this helps.

Take a look at the FCAT pages.
The KFA2 for sure looks bonkers
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_760_kfa2_ex_oc_review,1.html
Unfortunately it seems the shroud will be different for retail
Which does look better with those black fans.
Yeah, high five for that :)
Also all of the cooler design on the 760's are great except the SC ACX from EVGA and the Palit Jetstream. Other's are great.
MSI and Gigabyte are the best right now with 760's, Asus comes in at a "close" third position.
If you look at TPU's reviews of all the five...
lol let's take a more recent one
Kepler is between 4 and 6 on that, on this one between 4 and 8. Go figure.
P.S. Take a look at Google Image search for the nvidia roadmaps. It's quite amusing to browse through them, they keep changing the positions all the time.
The MSI 760 TF Gaming doesn't have the same cooler as the MSI 770 TF Gaming.
Well almost the same actually.
The 770 has 1x8mm + 4x6mm heatpipes.
The 760 has 1x8mm + 3x6mm heatpipes.
It's kinda amazing how at least three big sites such as TechPowerUp, Legit Reviews and Tom's Hardware got that...
Yeah, I figured that out as well but comparing has been made a little bit tough because of TPU changing the 1920x1200 resolution to 1920x1080.
Considering the 760 SC blower would be 221€ shipped and the 670 320€ shipped. Do I really want to pay 100€ more for it though...
The hell are you smoking, I want some of that too :D
Let's take a look at the actual photo from Gigabyte themselves.
Yeah right, sure a cooler for GTX 760 will have 5x 8mm heatpipes.
Be sure to post a picture of your rev2.0 showing the heatpipe count on tuesday. I actually want to know.
If...
Two threads with the same question as mine posted after I posted mine.
Was my post TMI?
670 FTW Sig 2 2gb 320€ shipped.
760 SC blower from EVGA 221€ shipped, and change cooler after I get annoyed by the blower.
or I could wait for the FTW ACX and hope it has better, quieter cooling...
Yeah figures.
But from the pictures I saw the rev2.0 has only two 8mm heatpipes on the cooler.
Though might be a better cooler overall. Would need to see the naked PCB and better pictures of the cooler. Well a review would be best of course :D
The rev1.0 and rev2.0 seem to be readily available...
Another Gigabyte 760 Rev1.0, have you come across any reviews of the rev2.0 with the newer Windforce cooler and different PCB?
There's at least 7 reviews out there of the rev1.0.
Have you raised your temperature target?
Since you said your gpu gets to 78*C in some crysis game.
When the temperature gets to a certain point the gpu will downclock in 13,5Mhz intervals at each temperature point.
1162 - 13,5 - 13,5 = 1136.
Raise your fan speed to max or increase the...
There really is no point in waiting for something particular in the hardware world.
Just get what you need/want and be done with it.
There'll always be something new coming just around the corner.
But gotta admit these 760's are tempting. Perf/€ wise they're great at least across the pond...
I am 100% positive.
If you open GPU-Z now it will show the base as 1059 and boost as 1111?
Install the MSI app, launch it, click the gaming mode and see the GPU-Z readings change to 1098 and 1150
cheers
I know you have a 770 but here's a video of the MSI 760 TF Gaming.
MSI advertises it with...
And in the reviews it's boosting to those levels because they use the MSI Gaming app.
Go and install it, click teh button and tadah, GPU-Z will show 1098/1150 as the cards base/boost as MSI promises. While gaming the boost clock will be higher if temperature and/or power target allows (use MSI...
In the review they used the MSI Gaming app in gaming mode
http://www.msi.com/product/vga/N770-TF-2GD5-OC.html
It's the same for the GTX 760 TF where they advertise 1085 core 1150 boost where as when you get it out of the box it IS 1020 core 1085 boost. Once you use the useless gaming app and...
So I'm in the market for a new GPU for gaming.
I'm not concerned about the vram.. I'm mainly looking for a card with 2GB vram. I game at 1920x1080 single monitor..
I've narrowed it down to either this for ~320€ shipped. The blower FTW would be ~300€ shipped and the reference clocked...
New PSU
Now the power readings are
deep idle display off 38.2w (~ -8%)
Watching TV around 46w (~ -8%)
IBT 56w (~ -6%)
Furmark 70w (~ -5%)
Kinda amazing to see that much of a difference. Yeah.. Pfft few watts here or there but if I look at the percentage of difference.. Then it's quite a lot...
Well I've had it up and running since yesterday now.
Had some issues at first. Like unable to install IDU or XTU, CPU-z nor HWMonitor worked as they crashed after opening etcetera.
I figured I'd update the bios. Downloaded the 0100 bios, which was the newest, and of course chose the .exe update...
Tomorrow I'll be replacing the parts :)
I installed the Xonar already on tuesday since I was too impatient LOL.
Glory shot
P.S. This new NM-i115x mounting kit (1150/1155/1156) from Noctua is really good by the way. Good job Noctua on making the Secufirm2 even better on 115x socket :p
